To directly address the growing needs for food security, South Philly Barbacoa partnered with the 215 People’s Alliance to launch The People’s Kitchen, a community kitchen space that has served more than 50,000 meals to those in need since the start of the pandemic. Building on a concept by chef Aziza Young, a rotating roster of chefs prepare 215 restaurant-quality meals per day to ensure that, along with food boxes provided by SEAMAAC, our neighbors also feel the dignity that comes with a thoughtfully prepared, nutritious meal.
