"This is not so much of a story, rather me reflecting on my past. A reminder of where I came from and to keep hustling. We were on food stamps and I would steal $2 bills from my mother. My mother would send 911 messages to the beeper, but it was never an emergency, just her losing her mind as to where I was and what I was I up to. Being a parent now, her urgency makes a lot of sense. It was a time when commercials were aired at 10pm asking “Do You Know Where Your Children Are?” and I was a 12 year old out past midnight." -Sean 9 Lugo
